Okta Verify Authenticator App Setup

Overview:

Okta Verify is an application that is used to authenticate your account across various login screens and applications. This application needs to be installed on a separate phone or tablet that you carry.

Instructions:

  1. If this is the first time you are setting up Okta Verify, go to your device's application store (Apple's App Store, Google's Play Store, etc.) and search for Okta Verify. Install the app based on your device's normal process. 

     
    • If you've already had the app and are adding a new application to the app, select the + button in the top right corner. Otherwise, continue to step 3.
  2. Choose Organization.

     
  3. Select Skip.

     
  4. Select Yes, Ready to Scan.

     
  5. The screen will switch to a camera view. Point this at the QR code on your computer screen.
  6. Choose if you want to enable any biometrics like Face ID if prompted. Otherwise, finish the setup process and you should now be able to access your application or be returned to a screen to setup another verification method.
